How I stayed sane at a plant medicine retreat

Last week I was completely off-grid at a plant medicine retreat in Costa Rica (if you missed the last issue of the newsletter, you’ll want to catch up.).

No phone. No laptop. No business.

Just me, the jungle, and some very intense inner work.

This week? I'm in Edinburgh with my mom, trying to see 57+ different Fringe performances while coordinating logistics with military precision.

Two totally different experiences.

But here's what saved my ass in both situations:

AI systems I set up BEFORE I left.

Not to make money while I slept...

But to handle the boring operational stuff so I could actually be PRESENT.

Email responses. Calendar management. Content scheduling.

All the little tasks that usually pull you back into "work mode" even when you're trying to disconnect.

That's the real power of AI.

Not replacing your brain...

But freeing it up for what actually matters.

Like deep healing work in Costa Rica.

Or quality time with my mom in Scotland (and London next week).
