UP FRONT: A MESSAGE FROM THE PUBLISHER

Is it Time to Escape the USA?

Dear Reader:

With everything that’s been happening lately—the whirlwind of emotions surrounding the election and the state of the world—I’ve been trying to cope just like everyone else.

I didn’t realize the scope of the problem:

The Trevor Project reported a nearly 700% increase in requests for help immediately following the election results, particularly among young LGBTQ+ individuals.

Other reporting reveals (with no surprise) that many LGBTQ+ Americans are expressing concerns about losing hard-won rights under the new administration.

Comments from community members reveal fears of increased violence, loss of bodily autonomy, and potential legal repercussions for transgender individuals and their families.

Mental health experts predict that this election could lead to one of the largest mental health crises within the LGBTQ+ community seen in decades, with reports of panic attacks and heightened anxiety becoming common.

One of my ways to cope is by continuing our tradition of not referencing the name of the next American president in this publication. Just as Stephen Colbert famously refused to mention the name in the past, we, too, won’t give it oxygen. Let’s focus on what truly matters—creating a life of freedom and joy.

All of this news has made me realize just how critical it is for us to live authentically and seize the opportunities that truly make us happy.

I founded the PrideNomad Foundation to support the idea that we can make the world our playground, and with more and more countries embracing gay marriage and offering attractive digital nomad visas, the time is NOW for us to seize the moment.

I’ve been inspired to create something that I think could be a game-changer for you.

It’s a 3-day event called the PrideNomad Freedom Summit, and it’s all about empowering LGBTQ+ individuals to explore the possibility of living overseas. Use Code PN20 and Save 20% Off Early-Bird Pricing (ends Wednesday at Midnight!).

I know the idea of moving abroad can feel overwhelming. Trust me, I’ve been there—the doubts, the fears, the countless “what ifs.”

But I’ve learned that not only is it possible to live overseas easily and effortlessly, but in many cases, it can be even more affordable than staying here in the U.S.

Here’s What You’ll Discover Over the 3 Days:

 • Break Down Barriers: We’ll tackle the fears and limiting beliefs that might be holding you back. It’s about realizing that you can do this.

 • Explore Global Opportunities: Discover LGBTQ+-friendly destinations where you can thrive. We’ll look at cost of living comparisons and see how you can enjoy a better quality of life abroad.

 • Create Location-Independent Income: This is a big one. We’ll dive deep into practical ways to earn income no matter where you are in the world. Whether it’s remote work, freelancing, or starting an online business, we’ll cover it.

 • Build a Supportive Community: Connect with like-minded people who share the same dreams and aspirations. We’ll support each other every step of the way.

I’m pouring my heart into making this event as meaningful and accessible as possible. And because I genuinely want this to be available to everyone who feels called to make a change, I’ve made it super affordable.

If you’ve ever felt that pull to explore life beyond our borders, to live more freely and authentically, I think this could be just what you’ve been waiting for.

No pressure at all, but I’d absolutely love to have you join us.

And even if you think the PrideNomad lifestyle isn’t for you right now, you’ll benefit from knowing that you have a choice—you CAN get out if you want. You don’t have to be stuck in a fascist regime.

Tuition is $297 for the full 3 days (November 25-27, 6 PM - 9 PM EST / 3 PM - 6 PM PST), but the Early-Bird pricing gets you in for just $197.

⚠️ As a PrideNomad Letter subscriber, you can save an additional 20% with code PN20 at checkout. This special offer expires tomorrow night (Wednesday, the 13th) at Midnight—don’t miss out!

👉 Click the gorgeous blue button below to secure your spot—and use code PN20 for an extra 20% off. Trust me, that button is just waiting to make your dreams come true—It can be your game changer! 💙✨

If you have any questions, drop me a line. I’m here for you, and I’m really excited about what the future holds (outside the USA!).

NOMAD NEWS:

Is it Time to Taiwan On?

PrideNomads, buckle up—Taiwan is rolling out its digital nomad visa this month, and it’s more than just another stamp in your passport. This is your golden ticket to explore one of the most LGBTQ+ friendly destinations in Asia! Taiwan is aiming to attract 100,000 remote workers, with hopes that at least 10,000 will decide to settle down on this beautiful island.

Why Taiwan is Perfect for PrideNomads

Sure, the scenery is jaw-dropping, and the street food? Absolute heaven (we’re looking at you, bubble tea!). But what truly sets Taiwan apart is its commitment to inclusivity. Taiwan became the first in Asia to legalize same-sex marriage in 2019, and it’s been a trailblazer in LGBTQ+ rights ever since. The locals are famously warm and welcoming, making it a safe, vibrant place where you can live freely and authentically.

The New Digital Nomad Visa: A Game-Changer

This new visa program is a game-changer, letting you stay for up to a full year—double the original plan. That’s more than enough time to dive deep into everything from Taipei’s bustling nightlife to the serene coastlines of Hualien and Pingtung. Plus, regions like Tainan and Taitung are rolling out the red carpet for remote workers, offering resources to help you thrive creatively and professionally.

Taiwan’s East Asian Nomad Network

And here’s the kicker: Taiwan is teaming up with Japan and South Korea to create an East Asian nomad network, making it even easier to hop between hotspots. Imagine seamlessly working from a chic café in Taipei one week, exploring Tokyo’s neon streets the next, and winding down in Seoul’s historic temples—all while keeping up with your remote work commitments.

Why Taiwan Should Be Your Next Remote Work Base

Beyond the practical perks—like excellent Wi-Fi, efficient public transport, and affordable living costs—Taiwan offers a unique blend of modernity and tradition. Picture this: you start your day working from a trendy café with a view of Taipei 101, grab some street food at lunchtime, and then hop on a high-speed train to a mountain hot spring for a weekend escape.

If you’re thinking about putting down more permanent roots (say, four years or more?), Taiwan’s got you covered. After a year on the digital nomad visa, you can apply for the “Employment Gold Card,” opening up opportunities to find a job, start your own business, or simply enjoy longer-term residency.

Living the Nomad Life in Taiwan: Costs & Tips

Wondering what it costs to live your best digital nomad life here? Let’s break it down—spoiler: it’s surprisingly affordable!

 • Average monthly expenses: Living in Taipei typically costs around $1,500 USD per month, depending on your lifestyle.

• Accommodation: Renting an Airbnb can run about $900 USD per month, but longer-term apartment rentals are much more budget-friendly:

 • Shared room: $400 USD/month

 • Studio apartment: $500 USD/month

 • Daily expenses: You’ll need about $700-$1,000 USD for food, transportation, and other necessities.

Taipei is known for its vibrant food scene—think night markets, vegan eateries, and cozy bubble tea shops. Plus, with efficient public transportation, it’s easy to explore everything from the buzzing streets of Taipei to serene mountain trails and coastal getaways.

Ready to Make the Move? Here’s How to Apply

If you’re ready to take the plunge, here’s your step-by-step guide to making Taiwan your new home base:

 1. Check Eligibility: Applicants need expertise in fields like tech, finance, education, or the arts. You’ll also need to show a minimum income of NT$160,000 (~$5,700 USD) per month.

 2. Gather Documents: You’ll need essentials like a valid passport, proof of employment, recent photos, and financial records.

 3. Apply Online: Complete your application on the official Employment Gold Card portal. Upload your documents, fill out the form, and pay the fee (which varies by nationality and visa length).

 4. Processing Time: Applications usually take 30-60 days, so plan ahead. Once approved, you might need to verify your identity at a Taiwanese consulate.

How to Get Started

If Taiwan sounds like your dream base, head to the Employment Gold Card portal to start your application process. 🌈 It’s time to Taiwan On and see where this new adventure takes you!

So, if you’ve been dreaming of a place where you can live, work, and truly belong, Taiwan just rolled out the rainbow carpet for you. Whether it’s sipping bubble tea in a trendy Taipei café or hiking the misty mountains of Alishan, your next chapter could start here.

Pack your bags, PrideNomads—it’s time to make Taiwan your next adventure! 🌈
