UP FRONT:
Off-the-Beaten-Path LGBTQ+ Travel Gems: Part 1—Destinations That Will Wow You!
The world is filled with incredible destinations for LGBTQ+ travelers, but let’s skip the usual suspects (looking at you, Paris and Berlin). If you’re craving adventure, acceptance, and a splash of fabulousness without the crowds, these off-the-beaten-path gems will blow your mind. Pack your bags, because Part 1 of our two-part series starts NOW!
1. Uruguay
Laid-back vibes and next-level inclusivity.
Uruguay might be small, but it’s punching way above its weight when it comes to LGBTQ+ rights. Same-sex marriage? Legal. Adoption? Absolutely. Montevideo is like a Latin American San Francisco, with cobblestone streets, cozy queer cafes, and a Pride celebration that’s all heart.
For a luxe beach escape, José Ignacio has you covered—think celebrities sipping wine under the stars, side-by-side with friendly locals. Bonus: Uruguay’s public transport is super cheap, so you can explore like a pro without splurging.
2. Nepal
Where the Himalayas meet queer-friendly vibes.
You probably didn’t expect Nepal on this list, but hear me out. This South Asian gem is a surprising LGBTQ+ trailblazer, having recognized a third gender in 2007. Kathmandu’s Pink Tiffany Pride Festival is small but mighty, and the locals are as warm as their legendary momos (dumplings you’ll want to eat by the dozen).
Adventurers, rejoice: Nepal is a budget-friendly paradise. Whether you’re trekking the Annapurna Circuit or soaking in Himalayan views, you’ll feel on top of the world—literally.
3. Cape Verde
Your tropical paradise awaits.
Cape Verde’s beaches are as stunning as its music scene is electric. While same-sex marriage isn’t legal (yet!), this African island nation is gaining a reputation for LGBTQ+ friendliness. Mindelo’s Carnival is a must-see—think Rio vibes but with fewer tourists.
Pro tip: Visit the laid-back island of Sal for crystal-clear waters, or Praia for a city vibe with buzzing nightlife. Flights can be pricey, but once you’re there, you’ll find it delightfully affordable.
4. Norway
Equality meets jaw-dropping scenery.
Norway is like stepping into a queer-friendly postcard. Same-sex marriage? Legal since 2009. LGBTQ+-friendly nightlife? Oslo’s got it covered, with bars, events, and a Pride festival that turns the city into a rainbow playground.
But Norway really shines outdoors—chase the northern lights, cruise through fjords, or explore the midnight sun. Sure, it’s not cheap, but equality and epic landscapes? Totally worth it.
What’s Next?
We’ve just scratched the surface! Next week, we’ll dive into even more incredible LGBTQ+ travel destinations, including a South American hotspot with the world’s largest Pride parade and a European fairytale country you didn’t know was this queer-friendly. Stay tuned—you won’t want to miss it!

STRATEGIC THINKING:
Why Wait? The Time to Start Is Freakin’ Now!
Why do we often wait for the perfect moment to start something new? Fear, uncertainty, and the allure of waiting until everything is just right often hold us back. But what if I told you that the perfect time to start is now, imperfections and all?
The Perils of Perfectionism:
Your first attempt at anything new is unlikely to be flawless, and that’s perfectly okay. Remember the first time you tried something challenging? It wasn’t perfect, but it was a start. In business, your initial efforts will be rough around the edges. That’s not a setback; it’s an essential part of the learning process.
For years I’ve taught my clients that “The first attempt is the worst attempt”.
If you wait to get it perfect, it will NEVER happen.
And if you wait to get your product perfect, someone else will launch and take your audience.
A few years ago, I stopped offering one of my signature coaching programs because most of participants simply did not implement. That broke my heart (you’ll love the name of it—PRIDE: Produce Ridiculously Irresistible Digital Events).
Now I’ve restructured my approach and I don’t do “coaching”—I offer IMPLEMENTATION. It’s all about the DOING.
Because DOING means ACHIEVING a result—whatever that may be.
Remember, you can’t get to version 2.0 until you’ve released version 1.0. And 1.0 will probably suck.
So what! You give your 1.0 clients a free upgrade and you’re a hero!
Get out of your own way—and start getting the results you truly deserve!
Oh—and another thing. Your real friends would probably tell you the same thing, too. Hell, they’re already thinking it!
If only AI could go to the gym for me, too! Same as the gym, though. You’ve gotta take action to get results!
Immediate Action is a Business Strategy.
The key to progress isn’t meticulous planning but immediate action. Launch your idea into the world and adapt based on real feedback. Start by engaging with potential customers early. Ask them:
• Do you need this?
• Would you pay for it?
• What would you pay?
Their insights will guide your next steps more accurately than any behind-the-scenes tweaking.
Tactical Steps to Take Today
Focus on what generates tangible results. Fancy logos and slick websites are good, but they don’t replace the core of business: sales. Marketing guru Dan Kennedy was notorious for the ugliest looking products in the info-marketing space. But they were GREAT. And he sold truckloads of ‘em.
Sure, I love pretty. But pretty comes later.
Begin with the basics—secure early customers through pre-sales or small-scale launches. This approach not only validates your idea but also kickstarts your cash flow.
Handling Hesitation and Doubt
Feeling hesitant or doubtful is natural when venturing into new territories. Instead of recoiling, embrace these feelings as signs of stepping out of your comfort zone—where true growth happens. Use this energy to propel yourself forward.
But let’s be real. This isn’t always easy. And that’s why it’s critical that you surround yourself with people who will inspire you, push you, and most of all call you on your own BS.
This isn’t just about business, Grasshopper.
