UP FRONT:
Why Most "Digital Nomads" Are Doing Freedom All Wrong
Let me tell you about Billy.
He sold everything he owned, bought a one-way ticket to Bali, and promised himself he'd "figure it out when he got there."
Three months later, he was back home... living with his parents.
This happens more often than you think.
Because most people approach location independence backwards.
They focus on the "leaving" part instead of the "living" part.
Here's what I mean:
True freedom isn't about escaping FROM something.
It's about moving TOWARDS something.
When I first started my nomadic journey, I wasn't running from my old life. I was running towards a vision of creating spaces where LGBTQ+ entrepreneurs could truly thrive.
Did I know exactly how it would work? Hell no.
But I had something more important than a perfect plan:
A clear understanding of what "enough" looked like.
This is the secret nobody talks about:
Freedom isn't about having more.
It's about needing less.
Less mental clutter.
Less physical stuff.
Less "supposed to's."
When you get clear on what "enough" means to you, two things happen:
The path becomes obvious
The journey becomes easier
Because you're no longer carrying the weight of other people's expectations.
I learned this lesson the hard way - through multiple adventures, setbacks, and complete life resets.
And while I can't prevent you from making your own mistakes (those are actually valuable), I can give you the framework that finally made it click for me.
That's why I wrote PrideNomad: Live Anywhere. Work Anywhere. Play Everywhere
The Ultimate LGBTQ+ Guide to a Location-Independent Life
Want first look?
Because freedom isn't about the destination.
It's about knowing exactly what you need to pack for the journey.
P.S. This isn't just another digital nomad guide. It's your blueprint for building a life of true location independence - wherever in the world you want to call home.
The book will be released in February, but as a charter subscriber, you can grab insider access here Âť

PUBLISHERâS NOTE:
Tim Cook just dropped $1MM on the enemy... and I get it đ¤
Look...
I'm gonna piss some people off with this one.
But whatever. Sometimes the truth hurts.
Tim Cook and Sam Altman just dropped a cool million each on the US presidential inauguration.
And yeah, I felt that knife twist in my gut too.
These are two of the most powerful gay men in tech...
Basically writing checks to an administration that wants to erase trans kids and roll back our rights.
The easy move would be to call them traitors.
To blast them on social media.
To scream "HOW DARE THEY" from the rooftops of our rainbow-colored echo chambers.
But here's the uncomfortable truth...
They're playing a different game than we are.
When you're running Apple or OpenAI...
You've got stockholders breathing down your neck.
Regulations that could make or break your company.
And sometimes... that means dancing with the devil.
Is it right? Probably not.
Is it reality? Unfortunately.
Here's where it gets interesting though...
While we're all busy being outraged about Tim and Sam's choices...
We're missing the bigger picture.
The REAL question isn't whether they should've donated.
The REAL question is:
Why don't WE have the power to say "fuck you" and mean it?
This was on my walls for years. Remember âSilence = Deathâ? Weâre at another critical time right now in the world.
Why are we still playing by their rules?
Because let me tell you something...
When you're financially independent...
When you can work from ANYWHERE...
When you've built a life that no administration can touch...
That's when you get to write your OWN rules.
Thatâs when you can contribute to your OWN causes.
Thatâs when you can make a BIGGER difference.
One of my friends has given MILLIONS to LGBTQ+ causes over the years, because he created his own freedom (Now he lives in Thailand with his hot 26-year old boyfriend!)
(Quick side note: I'm writing this as I pack for Whistler, where I'm heading for Gay Ski Week. Because I CAN. Because I built that freedom for myself.)
This is exactly why I'm so passionate about helping our community build location-independent businesses and lifestyles.
It's not just about working poolside in Thailand...
(Although that's pretty sweet...)
It's about having the power to stand your ground.
To support what you believe in.
To never have to compromise your values for a paycheck.
Look, Listen...
I'm not defending Tim and Sam's choices.
But I AM saying we need to focus our energy on building our OWN power bases.
Because nobody's going to hand us that power.
We have to take it.
Want to know how?
The blueprint's right here. No compromises required.
P.S. If you're at Whistler this week, come say hi. We can talk more about building our own "fuck you" money while we shred some powder. đłď¸âđâˇď¸
What do YOU think?
When it comes to powerful gay leaders working with anti-LGBTQ+ administrations...âĄď¸ Which camp are you in? |
