UP FRONT:
🏳️🌈 When HOME isn't a place... it's a REVOLUTION 🏳️🌈
Quick Editor's Note:
Fam, buckle up.
This isn't your regular 400-word PrideNomad dispatch.
But after what we witnessed at Winter Party Festival last week...
(February 26 - March 4, 2025, for those marking calendars...)
After seeing how one non-profit has turned a single beach party into a global MOVEMENT...
After watching fire dancers by the pool and the incredible Kierra Johnson (Task Force Executive Director) showing off her impressive vocals...
This story needed room to breathe.
Because what's happening here isn't just about parties.
It's about their motto:
LIVE FREE.
PLAY HARD.
GIVE BACK.
And as PrideNomads who can choose where to show up...
We need to understand why this matters NOW more than ever.
So grab your beverage of choice...
Get comfortable...
And let me tell you about a 31-year legacy that might just change how you think about community support forever.
For those who've never experienced Winter Party Festival...
Picture this:
Back in 1994, it was just ONE event - a dance party on the beach.
But something magical happened.
That single party sparked a revolution...
Growing into what we see today:
A week-long celebration that draws thousands from around the globe...
Featuring dozens of events across Miami Beach's most exhilarating venues...
Creating vital funding for the National LGBTQ Task Force's year-round advocacy work across the United States.
And in 2025? That revolution is stronger than ever.
Picture nearly 6,000 people gathered on South Beach...
![]() Early in the afternoon…Wall to wall men shortly thereafter! | ![]() Thinking we need to get PrideNomad branded Speedos! Who wants one? |
Dancing to legendary beats dropped by Erik Vilar and Micky Friedmann...
For Winter Party's iconic flagship celebration of joy and dance revolution.
This isn't just another beach party.
This is pure, unfiltered JOY as revolution.
But the magic doesn't stop there...
Under One Sun made its triumphant return to poolside for the first time since 2018.
The Sagamore South Beach pool deck transformed into something extraordinary:
Miami sunshine hitting different...
Ocean breeze doing its thing...
A crowd moving as one under the best poolside vibes on Miami Beach.
![]() The pool wasn't just for swimming... it was for CELEBRATING. | ![]() This party was on fire! |
Then there's the VIP reception at The Standard...

Kierra Johnson, Task Force Executive Direcctor, is a relentless advocate.
Cocktails flowing...
Delicious bites being passed around...
Special entertainment lighting up the night...
And Kierra Johnson dropping both wisdom AND impressive vocals.
The night's highlight? Honoring Lisa Mercado - the ONLY woman to ever co-chair Winter Party Festival, whose decade-plus dedication to both Task Force and Pridelines embodies exactly what this movement is about.
That's the kind of work that builds legacies.
The kind of dedication that changes communities.
Since 2005 alone, they've given back more than $3.8 MILLION...
Supporting nearly 90 community organizations in South Florida.
This isn't just party planning.
This is community BUILDING.
Where else do you see fire dancers and Task Force leadership...
International DJs and local grant recipients...
Party promoters and community organizers...
All in one space, all working toward one goal:
Moving freedom, justice, and equality forward.
But here's where this gets really important for us PrideNomads...
Beyond the obvious fact that Miami Beach in February beats whatever winter hellscape you might be escaping from...
This is about something bigger.
See, the Task Force didn't just build a party.
They built a PARTNERSHIP.
Through the LGBTQ+ Equity Fund - a collaboration between the Task Force, The Miami Foundation, and Our Fund Foundation...
They've created a sustainable model for community support.
And right now, due to the toxic American political environment, with LGBTQ+ organizations having their funding slashed and having to lay-off critical team members...
This model matters more than ever.
Think about it:
While other organizations are dependent on shrinking government grants...
Or struggling with donor fatigue...
The Task Force has built something revolutionary:
A way to turn celebration into preservation.
Party into power.
Community into change.
And as PrideNomads?
We can be part of that revolution.
Because we have a unique superpower:
We can show up.
Physically.
Intentionally.
Strategically.
We can route our travels to support these community-owned celebrations.
And when we do...
We're not just living their motto of "Live Free. Play Hard."
We're helping them "Give Back."
So mark your calendars for next year (dates to be announced).
Plan your moves accordingly.
Because this isn't just another circuit party.
This is 31 years of community preservation through celebration.
This is over $3.8 million of direct impact.
This is what revolution looks like in 2025.

🌈 PROUD PARTNER MESSAGE 🌈 :
Is Your Website Bleeding Revenue?
(While You're Out Living Life…)
Here's a disturbing truth:
Even the most successful websites lose 90-97% of their potential customers.
These "ghost" visitors land on your site... show clear buying interest... then vanish forever.
But now there's tech that lets you:
• Identify these "ghost" visitors
• Get their contact details
• Turn them into actual sales
The big brands pay $5K+ monthly for this.
You can get it for a fraction of that... and recover revenue while you travel.
Use our calculator to see exactly how much money your website is hemorrhaging right now. Check it out here:

STRATEGIC THINKING:
Why Your Marketing May Suck (And How to Fix It)
Marketers love to blame their funnel when their sales aren’t rolling in. “Maybe I need a webinar funnel instead of a video sales letter,” they say. Or, “Maybe my opt-in needs a quiz instead of a lead magnet.”
Wrong.
Your problem isn’t the model—it’s the message. If your message sucks, no funnel will save you. You could run your offer through a long-form sales page, a slick webinar, or a magic TikTok trend, and it’ll still flop.
The good news? The fix is simple, and most marketers get it completely backward. Here are three unconventional shifts that can actually turn your marketing around:
1. Stop Selling the Product. Sell the Mechanism.
No one cares about your product. They care about how it gets them results. Instead of blabbering about features, focus on what makes your method unique.
Selling a weight loss program? Don’t say it’s a “12-week transformation.” Say it’s “The Metabolic Reset Method.”
Have a coaching program? Don’t push your “weekly calls and worksheets.” Sell the system that makes your coaching work.
When you shift from “buy my thing” to “here’s how this delivers the result you desperately want,” sales resistance drops.
2. Stop Relying on Slick Sales Tactics. Use Education-Based Marketing.
People don’t buy because you hit them with a perfect closing line. They buy because they believe what you’re saying.
Instead of pushing hard on the sale, educate them on your mechanism. Give them the “aha” moment where they realize, “Oh, THIS is the missing piece I’ve been looking for.”
When you do this right, people thank you for the opportunity to buy. No weird, pushy tactics required.
3. Stop Banking on Emotion Alone. Give Them a Logical Argument.
Yes, people buy with emotion. But in today’s market, they also need logical proof to justify the purchase.
The sequence that works best:
Hook them emotionally (“Imagine waking up debt-free.”)
Give them an airtight logical case (“Here’s exactly why this method works when others fail.”)
Then present the offer.
The Bottom Line
Your marketing doesn’t need another fancy funnel. It needs a better message. Nail that, and suddenly, any funnel you use will actually work. Fix the message first. The money follows.
Want some help with this? I'm opening up a few consulting slots over the next week for businesses ready to fix their messaging. If you want some real-world, no-nonsense assistance (and stop wasting money on funnels that don't convert), reply to this email and we'll set something up.
NOMAD UPDATE:
Sobering News from Madrid
In our last issue, we celebrated Madrid. Just after we published, one of our readers shared some concerning news about police harassment of LGBTQ+ folks there.
There's been reports of police targeting queer men, especially around Chueca and nightlife areas.
They're using "drug enforcement" as an excuse... but the pattern is pretty clear:
• Profiling based on "looking queer"
• Discriminatory searches
• Some seriously messed up treatment at police stations
Does this mean Madrid isn't safe? No.
Does it mean you shouldn't go? Hell no.
But you deserve to know the full picture:
This is happening mainly in nightlife areas
It's tied to a larger "war on drugs" that disproportionately targets queer spaces
Local activists are fighting back HARD
The community is organizing to protect its own
Madrid is still one of the most LGBTQ+ friendly cities in the world.
The local community is strong, vigilant, and not putting up with this BS.
But like ANY major city... you gotta stay aware.
Connect with local LGBTQ+ groups when you arrive.
Know your rights.
Have emergency contacts.
Because real talk?
Even with these issues... Madrid is STILL safer for many LGBTQ+ folks than what they're facing back home.
Just keep your eyes open and your community close.
That's what family does. 💪🏳️🌈
✨ TODAY'S QUIZ ANSWER ✨
Singapore.
Despite being one of Asia's most conservative nations, Singapore's Pink Dot celebration has become a powerful symbol of resilience and change. Started in 2009, it now draws thousands annually - proving that even in the face of strict regulations, our community finds ways to show up and show OUT.
