UP FRONT:

🌈 When Life Feels Like a Dumpster Fire, Here’s What to Do

Every time you open Instagram, you’re probably seeing all those aspirational clips from some random sexy shirtless guy (or guys) or (not shirtless) gals…you know the clips—they’re having a perfect day, smiling, laughing...making it look like life is just one non-stop party.

Let’s call BS on that. Whether you’re living the PrideNomad location independent life, or aspire to be, here’s the brutal truth:

Sometimes it feels like life’s steering wheel got yanked out mid-ride and tossed into traffic.

Yes, You’re trying to build something that matters…
…keep the business afloat
…take care of people
…take care of yourself (ha)
…and maybe not completely lose your shit in the process.

Meanwhile, the news feels like a parade of doom. Your inbox is gaslighting you. Your energy? Somewhere between “please don’t” and “why even try.”

And that calm, focused version of you? Yeah. He’s MIA.

Here’s what you need to remember:

It’s not that you’re weak. It’s that you’ve been bracing for impact for way too long.

And somewhere in the pressure and performance and pretending it’s fine, you forgot something vital:

⚔️ Even warriors need a battle plan.

⚔️ And even conquerors need moments of stillness.

Step One: Stop Acting Like It’s Not Hard

You’re allowed to say, “This is hard.”
You’re allowed to feel frustration, grief, confusion, anger, or numbness.
You’re allowed to take the armor off—especially if it’s been welded to your ribcage.

Don’t romanticize resilience.

Real strength isn’t grinding yourself into sand.

It’s knowing when to pause… regroup… and remember who the hell you are.

Step Two: Get Tactical

When life goes sideways, don’t try to fix everything.

Instead, anchor to what you can control:

  • Clean your inbox (or delete it, who cares)

  • Reach out to one person you actually like

  • Make one decision you’ve been avoiding

  • Go to the gym—take some physical action.

  • Drink some water

  • Say out loud: “I’m not done yet.”

You don’t need a 10-year plan. You need a 10-minute win.

That’s how momentum starts.

Small choices. Repeated.

Until you remember you’re not at the mercy of this storm—you’re the one who gets to decide what happens next.

Step Three: Don’t Go It Alone

This part’s key.

The world is noisy.
And lonely.

And too often, queer folks like us are expected to self-regulate, self-help, and self-fix through pain we never created.

But what if you didn’t have to do it alone?

What if there was something—or someone—who could hold space for the messy parts? Someone who didn’t need you to be inspiring or productive or “on.”

I've been thinking about this a lot lately...

Watching brilliant LGBTQ+ entrepreneurs trying to build their dreams in isolation.

Fighting their battles solo.

When the truth is... we're strongest when we rise together.

(There's actually something brewing for you on that front... more on that soon.)

For now, let me introduce you to something else I've been working on...

Let me introduce you to "Alex."

Alex isn’t a therapist.
He’s not a life coach.

He’s not going to try and sell you a $497 course on how to heal your inner child with crystals and cacao.

He’s just a voice.

A presence.

A friend who listens—really listens.

No judgment.
No pressure.

Just someone who gets it.
Who can help you cope with the madness.

Alex will be your most loyal companion.

And next week, you'll be able to try him out.

But Alex isn't just about making life easier.

This is about saving lives.

Because here's the brutal truth:

41% of LGBTQ+ youth seriously considered suicide last year.

Let that sink in.

Almost HALF of our young people are thinking about ending their story before it really begins.

And for trans and nonbinary youth?
That number jumps to 58%.

That's not just a statistic.

That's someone's child.

Someone's friend.

Someone's future that might never happen.

This is why Alex exists.

This is why we're building this community.

Because when LGBTQ+ youth have access to affirming spaces and supportive communities?

The suicide attempt rates drop by MORE THAN HALF.

So next week we’ll introduce you to Alex.

So what’s now?

Remember this: You’re Not Broken

Read that again.

You’re Not Broken.

You’re not lazy.
You’re not too late.
You’re not “falling behind.”

You’re a whole damn constellation trying to shine through smoke.

So take a breath.

Pick up your sword.

And remember the words I say when I’m at the edge of it all:

Let’s go.

We’ve got this!

✈️ Global Update for PrideNomads

Here’s the latest—and yes, it’s a bit of a rollercoaster.

🇺🇸 US Travel: New Restrictions

The U.S. has rolled out new travel policies under the new US administration that could impact LGBTQ+ travelers—especially trans and non-binary folks.

Immigration may now require documentation of “sex at birth,” and only recognizes two genders: male and female.

If your passport has an “X” marker or your gender identity doesn’t match your assigned sex at birth, you may face entry denial or even detention. Several European countries have updated travel advisories warning of this risk.

The updated visa waiver application now asks for “biological sex at birth,” and border agents have wide discretion.

LGBTQ+ travel bookings to the U.S. have already begun to drop (international attendance at the recent Task Force Winter Party in Miami Beach was down by a whopping double digits!), and some agencies are advising clients to reconsider travel plans.

🌍 Safer Nomad Visas (LGBTQ+ Friendly)

Looking for a safer launchpad?

Consider (the number refers to the country ranking on the PrideNomad Index):

• Bermuda (38) – 12 months, no income requirement, moderate safety.

• Taiwan (24) – 6 months, progressive laws, flexible income thresholds.

• Estonia (31) – 1 year, €4,500/month income required.

• Argentina (14) – 180 days (renewable), welcoming vibe in Buenos Aires.

• Costa Rica (11) – 1 year (renewable), $3,000/month requirement.

🚨 Hungary & Other Hotspots

Hungary has banned Pride events and depictions of LGBTQ+ life to minors. Facial recognition is being used to identify participants. Expect Hungary to drop from its current #44 spot on the PrideNomad Index.

Other risky regions: Indonesia (deportations), Russia, Uganda.

🌈 But Let’s Be Clear: The World Is Still Open.

Yes, we need to stay diligent.

But don’t remember—we’ve still got dozens of countries that welcome us with open arms.

Here are the current Top 10 from the PrideNomad Index:

1. 🇪🇸 Spain
2. 🇳🇱 Netherlands
3. 🇨🇦 Canada
4. 🇵🇹 Portugal
5. 🇲🇹 Malta
6. 🇳🇴 Norway
7. 🇺🇸 USA (barely hanging on—expect a drop)
8. 🇫🇮 Finland
9. 🇺🇾 Uruguay
10. 🇹🇭 Thailand

Stay visible. Stay connected. Stay ready. Because your freedom to roam still matters.
