We love Mercury. It’s totally free banking! Perfect for nomads who need borderless business solutions. I've used them for years - they're a game-changer for nomads.

UP FRONT:

🌈 The Dark Side of PrideNomad Life [No-one Talks About This]

Let's cut the Instagram BS for a minute.

You know what I mean...

The perfectly staged laptop-on-beach photos.

The "living my best life" captions.

The endless stream of sunset stories and smoothie bowls.

Because there's something deeper we need to talk about.

Something that hits different when you're LGBTQ+ and nomading around the world.

The numbers tell a story nobody wants to post about:

52% of nomads say loneliness is their biggest challenge.

1 in 3 battle with their mental health regularly.

And only 16% feel emotionally supported while traveling.

But wait... it gets more complicated when you're queer.

Now you're also navigating identity safety...

Dealing with microaggressions...

And trying to stay visible in cultures that might prefer you... don't.

I met this guy in Siem Reap years ago who'd been traveling for 22 years.

When I asked about relationships, his answer hit me like a gut punch.

He'd been solo for 20 of those years.

Not by choice...

But because finding someone who vibed with this lifestyle?

Someone who wanted the same rhythm?

That stuff was HARD.

And I felt that.

Because I've been there too...

Standing on the most beautiful beach in the world...

Or in the middle of a crowded party...

Feeling like a ghost.

When you're traveling, you can rationalize the loneliness:

"It's part of the journey."

"This will pass."

"I'm in motion."

But that quiet ache that follows you across time zones?

It hits different when you're surrounded by people... yet somehow still invisible.

Here's the truth though...

If you've ever sat somewhere stunning and still felt empty inside...

You're not broken.

You're human.

And there are ways to handle this like a pro:

  • Send a voice note to someone who gets you

  • Choose community over isolation (hello, coworking spaces)

  • Volunteer locally - even for an hour (this is a biggie—and gives you incredible local insights)

  • Start a conversation with someone new... on purpose

Because when you shift from observer to participant...

From outsider to contributor...

Something magical happens.

But here's what really gets me excited...

We've been cooking up something at PrideNomad.

Something soft.

Something smart.

Something built specifically for this exact feeling.

I can't reveal it all yet...

But just know:

We see you.

We hear you.

And we're about to change the game.

More coming very soon.

For now, remember:

We can't outrun loneliness.

But we can absolutely stop letting it control where we go next.

With pride & wanderlust,
Ken

Wondering what daily life might really look like as a digital nomad in Puerto Vallarta?

Let’s paint you a little picture...

You wake up to the sound of waves or birds in the jungle hills.

After a smoothie from the local fruit stand, you head to a breezy café or co-working space with fibre internet and sea views.

Lunchtime? Tacos and cold coconut water from a street vendor who knows your name.

Evenings mean beach walks, art shows, salsa classes, or queer-friendly happy hours where locals and expats mix effortlessly.

It’s not a fantasy — it’s what many of my clients now call normal.

STRATEGIES:

The Brutal Reality of Being a Size Queen (In Business)

So, I just got back from the Newsletter Conference in New York—and wow, did it kick me in the ego.

I’ve spent years thinking my list needed to be bigger. Bigger to be credible. Bigger to attract sponsors. Bigger to make money.

Because let’s face it—I’ve been a total size queen when it comes to my business.

But then I sat next to this incredible woman—she writes a smart, hilarious newsletter called Drunk Business Advice (yes, really)—and I was floored.

She has HALF the subscriber count that we do here at PrideNomad…

And she’s absolutely crushing it.

Multiple income streams. Loyal audience. Strong community.

It hit me like a glitter cannon to the face: I’ve been measuring the wrong thing.

The lesson?

Stop obsessing over the size of your list.

Start obsessing over the quality of your relationship with the people on it.

Let me give you another example. Years ago, I was hanging out with a Canadian friend in Bangkok—a brilliant digital marketer.

We were having an amazing seafood dinner at one of my favorite street-corner food outlets in Chinatown. Loud, Fun and Delish.

We were talking about strategy and impact…and he revealed that he had about 1,000 people on his list.

That’s it. Just 1,000.

But he was making over a million dollars a year.

Why? Because those 1,000 people listened. They opened. They clicked. They bought.

They trusted him. They knew him.

That’s the game. That’s the gold.

So here’s the real question for you:

Are you building an audience, or are you building a movement?

Here at the PrideNomad Letter, we’re not trying to please the masses.

We’re here for our people:

LGBTQ+ digital nomads and location-free dreamers who want to live boldly, travel smart, and build something meaningful.

When someone joins and unsubscribes the next day?

Good. That means they weren’t the right fit.

This isn’t about growing wide. It’s about growing deep.

And if you don’t have your own business yet? Let this be your sign:

You don’t need big numbers to make a big impact.

Start with 10 people. Love the hell out of those 10 people.

Sell something that changes their life.

And do it again.

The bottom line?

Small list. Big impact. Deep trust. Bigger profits.

So maybe the real secret to success isn’t size.

Maybe it’s soul.

They say that it’s not about size—it’s about how you use it.

When it comes to business, that’s absolutely true.

Now let’s build something beautiful.

P.S. Hey — quick personal note, just between us nomads…

I just released the pre-release edition of my book, No Closets. No Borders.

It’s not fully polished yet — but it’s real. And raw.
And maybe the most honest thing I’ve ever written.

I made it pay what you want (with a $9 minimum), not because I don’t think it’s worth more…
But because I wanted this to reach the people who need it most.

There’s a reason for that — and I’ll share the full story next week.

If you’ve ever felt like the world wasn’t quite made for people like us…

This book might just remind you you’re not alone.

📖 Grab it here if it calls to you.

With pride & wanderlust,

Ken

Answer to Today’s Quiz

Komodo Island, Indonesia.

Pink Beach gets its color from crushed red coral, and despite Indonesia’s uneven [understatement] LGBTQ+ rights landscape, the beach remains a beloved symbol of natural (and metaphorical) beauty.
