FOUNDATIONS:

✈️ “I Want to Move Abroad… But I Haven’t.”

If you’ve been saying this for the past few <insert months/years>, you’re not lazy.

You’re not bad at follow-through.

You’re just still holding on to a few very real fears.

Let’s name them—honestly.

Because once you see them, they lose their grip.

Here are 10 fears that are stopping many of our readers from moving abroad—and the truths that can set you free.

1. “What if I choose wrong?”

Wrong city. Wrong vibe. Wrong people.

Totally valid.

But your first country doesn’t have to be your forever country. It just has to be your starter country. Every queer nomad I know has gotten it “wrong” at least once—and grown because of it.

2. “What if I run out of money?”

The fear isn’t money—it’s misjudging money.

Trying to live abroad like you did back home (same lifestyle, same habits) will break your budget.

But if you choose your location wisely, you might cut your expenses in half and upgrade your quality of life.

3. “What if I get sick?”

If you’ve survived the U.S. healthcare system as a queer person, you can survive anything.

In many countries, care is better, faster, and more affordable. You’ll be fine—and probably healthier.

4. “What about visas and bureaucracy?”

You don’t need to become an immigration lawyer.

You need clarity on how you actually want to live.

The right visa flows from that.

5. “What if I stand out?”

You will.

But you weren’t born to blend in. You were born to belong—to yourself.
Be you and people will naturally be attracted to you…and they’ll be happy to assist you when you need help.

6. “What if I miss my people?”

Love doesn’t disappear when you cross a border. It just travels differently.

Zoom, surprise visits, new memories.

7. “What if I never feel at home?”

Most of us never felt fully at home where we started.

Don’t look for a perfect place. Look for a better mirror—somewhere you feel more you.

8. “What do I do with all my stuff?”

No one says, “I wish I brought more stuff.”

But a lot of people say,

“I wish I’d left sooner.”

9. “What if I don’t speak the language?”

You don’t need fluency. You need humility—and a translation app.

10. “What if it’s too late?”

This is the big one. The quiet fear.

“I missed my window.”

You didn’t.

You’re right on time.

WANT TO USE AI TO LIVE BETTER?:

🎉 ANNOUNCING THE AI FREEDOM FORMULA

August 12 and 14, 2025 | 100% Online | Free to for World Playground Summit VIPs

I had planned to do this all myself—to share how I’m using AI to run a global, location-independent lifestyle.

But frankly, one of my best productivity hacks is to always find a better way…

So I asked myself…

What if instead of teaching you MY way of using AI...

I brought together 12 of the smartest AI practitioners I know?

People who've cracked codes I'm still working on.

People who've built systems that make my stuff look amateur.

People who are using AI in ways that would blow your mind.

So that's exactly what I did.

I called in favors.

Made some deals.

Probably overpaid a few people.

And convinced 12 of the brightest minds in AI business automation to share their best stuff.

Not their "okay" stuff.

Their BEST stuff.

The result?

The AI Freedom Formula.

August 12 & 14. Two nights.
I’m broadcasting it from London…you can watch it from anywhere.
BTW, if you picked up the VIP pass to the World Playground Summit, you attend FREE!

And holy mackerel, this is gonna be good.

If you're tired of doing everything manually while your competitors automate their way to freedom...

This is your moment.

The Great Spain VS. Portugal Debate

Queer? Nomadic? Torn between Spain and Portugal?
This isn’t just a visa checklist. It’s a soul check.

🌍 In this episode, we unpack everything you really need to know:

  • – Which visa gives you more freedom

  • – The real cost of living in each country (emotionally + financially)

  • – The truth about anti-nomad backlash, housing protests, and cultural resentment

  • – What it actually feels like to be LGBTQ+ in Spain vs Portugal

✈️ DESTINATIONS:

🌍 2025’s Emerging PrideNomad Hotspots (And What You Need to Know)

Let’s be real—some places feel like instant soul homes. Others look great on Instagram but don’t quite hold your heart.

Here’s a sharp, no‑BS look at five digital nomad destinations rising fast in 2025—and what LGBTQ+ travelers need to know before booking that one‑way flight. Rankings pulled straight from the PrideNomad Index 2025 (full report available on request).

🇬🇪 Tbilisi, Georgia

PrideNomad Rank: #46 / 65

LGBTQ+ Rights Score: 3 | Social Acceptance: 4 | Composite Score: 4.92

Creative, cheap, and scrappy in the best way. Georgia lets most travelers stay visa‑free for up to a year, and remote workers under ~$165K get taxed just 1%.

The queer scene? Still emerging. There’s a visible expat crew, but public Pride events are rare—and police protection can’t always be counted on.

Bottom line: Go in eyes wide open. You’ll find warmth, grit, and resilience—but not full equality.

🇻🇳 Da Nang, Vietnam

PrideNomad Rank: #28 / 65

LGBTQ+ Rights Score: 6 | Social Acceptance: 6 | Composite Score: 6.04

A low‑cost, oceanfront city with surprising momentum. Da Nang is drawing remote workers who want beach vibes without Bali’s burnout.

Vietnam has no laws protecting queer rights, but major cities often feel tolerant in practice.

Bottom line: Da Nang’s easygoing rhythm and coworking scene are legit. Just don’t expect legal protections or queer infrastructure.

🇵🇭 Siargao, Philippines

PrideNomad Rank: #39 / 65

LGBTQ+ Rights Score: 5 | Social Acceptance: 6 | Composite Score: 5.32

The surf is divine, the vibe is chill, and the new nomad visa is a game-changer.

Queer travelers report growing community on the island, and while the Philippines still lacks marriage equality, social attitudes can be surprisingly open—especially among Gen Z.

Bottom line: Siargao is a soulful launchpad. Don’t skip it.

🇿🇦 Cape Town, South Africa

PrideNomad Rank: #35 / 65

LGBTQ+ Rights Score: 8 | Social Acceptance: 6 | Composite Score: 5.52

A beauty bombshell with legal protections on paper—but big gaps in lived experience.

Racism, income inequality, and rising prices can be confronting. But for some queer nomads, Cape Town is home.

Bottom line: You’ll need street smarts and social nuance—but the reward is depth, diversity, and connection.

🇰🇪 Nairobi, Kenya

PrideNomad Rank: #57 / 65

LGBTQ+ Rights Score: 2 | Social Acceptance: 4 | Composite Score: 4.12

Okay, let’s talk real.

Yes—same-sex acts are criminalized. No—you won’t find legal protection.

But Nairobi is also pulsing with art, tech, and underground queer brilliance. Some nomads fall in love with its fire and possibility.

Bottom line: Nairobi’s not for beginners. But if you’re street‑savvy, emotionally aware, and clear on your risks, it might just stretch your world in ways no “safe” city ever could.

P.S. Hey — quick personal note, just between us nomads…

Did you get your copy of the pre-release edition of my book, No Closets. No Borders?

It’s not fully polished yet — but it’s real. And raw. Because sometimes the messy version is the one that speaks most clearly.
And it may be the most honest thing I’ve ever written.

I made it pay what you want (with a $9 minimum), not because I don’t think it’s worth more…
But because I wanted this to reach the people who need it most.

There’s a reason for that — and I’ll share the full story next week.

If you’ve ever felt like the world wasn’t quite made for people like us…

This book might just remind you you’re not alone.

📖 Download your pay-what-you-want copy here before the final version drops.

With pride & wanderlust,

Ken

Answer to Today’s Quiz

São Paulo, Brazil.

Once repressive, São Paulo has transformed into a global leader for LGBTQ+ Pride. Its annual parade on Avenida Paulista is not only enormous but wildly political, creative, and rooted in resilience.
