📍 EDITOR’S NOTE:

Why We're Talking Business Today

Look, I get it.

Most of you signed up for PrideNomad because you want travel tips.

Queer-friendly destinations.

Hacks for living abroad.

And we're NOT abandoning that.

But here's the truth nobody likes to talk about:

The nomad lifestyle isn't FREE.

Whether you're retired and living off your savings...

Or building a business from your laptop in Lisbon...

You need a way to generate income that's LOCATION INDEPENDENT.

Because eventually, the money runs out.

Or life throws you a curveball.

And if your income is tied to ONE place...

You're stuck.

So yeah, today's issue is about BUSINESS.

About seeing opportunities.

About building systems that let you work from ANYWHERE.

Because that's what being a digital nomad actually IS.

It's not just pretty Instagram shots from Bali.

It's having the FREEDOM to live wherever the hell you want...

Without worrying how you're gonna pay for it.

So if you're retired?

This still applies to you.

(Because passive income beats burning through savings.)

If you're NOT a "business person?"

This DEFINITELY applies to you.

(Because you don't need to be Elon Musk to spot opportunities and connect dots.)

This is the FOUNDATION of the lifestyle.

And we're gonna keep talking about it.

Because it matters.

Because freedom without income isn’t freedom. It’s a countdown.

Alright. Rant over.

Let's dive in.

NOMAD BIZ:

🕓 "The Stupid Hour Strategy" — and Why I'm Glad I Did It Anyway

It was 3:30 in the morning.

Most sane people were asleep.

I was making cold calls.

Well... sort of.

I wasn't actually TALKING to anyone.

(God forbid.)

I was leaving voicemails for business owners.

And here's the thing…

I could've done this at a WAY more reasonable time.

I'm in Miami visiting my mom before we head to Taiwan.

One of the perks of being a digital nomad? You can work the clock.

Call Australia at 9 PM and it's mid-afternoon for them.

So why 3:30 AM?

Honestly? No clue.

I just wanted it DONE.

Because here's what I've learned after years of running businesses and moving countries...

You don't get results doing only the things that feel comfortable.

You get results doing the things that get results.

Even at stupid hours.

But here's the REAL reason I was willing to make those calls…

I wasn't just pitching some generic service.

I was sharing a mission.

See… our goal is to get The Daily Hug into the hands of 100 MILLION people.

Change the world one human at a time.

Make people a little happier. A little less lonely.

And we built a Trojan Horse to do it.

Something we call The Hug-Cloaked Offer (we’ve also been calling it the Kindness Offer—we’re testing names, not values).

It wraps KINDNESS around an irresistible offer…

So it doesn't FEEL like marketing.

It feels like generosity.

But it drives real results.

For businesses. For customers. And for our mission.

I've been testing it. Refining it. Using it.

And honestly?

It's the reason I had the confidence to pick up the phone at 3:30 in the morning.

Because when what you're offering is tied to something BIGGER than just making a sale…

The pitch doesn't feel slimy.

It feels like service.

So here's my question for YOU:

What's YOUR mission?

And what are you willing to DO to achieve it?

Because action beats perfection every time.

If you're curious what this whole "Hug-Cloaked Offer" thing actually IS...

And how it's helping us spread The Daily Hug to 100 million people…

Mission meeting momentum.

Heart meeting hustle.

P.S. One business owner called me back the next day. Said it was the most "human" pitch he'd ever received.

That's the power of doing things differently.

Even at stupid o’clock.

NOMAD HACKS:

🚎 Three Winners to Make Your Nomad Life Easier

🔋 1. The “Power Sandwich”

Always travel with a dual-port charger + one long cable in your personal bag.
Airports have outlets in awkward places. Same with your hotel/AirBnb/apartment/
The long cord lets you charge your phone and scroll memes while lying on the floor in denial or in the bed on the other side of the room.

🍴 2. Hotel Buffet Economics

You didn’t hear this from me (ask my MOM!)…
But those croissants fit perfectly in a napkin-wrapped “breakfast for later” pack.
It’s not stealing. It’s strategic carb redistribution.

🌎 3. Google Maps Never-Forget Trick

Before you leave Wi-Fi, type the city name into Google Maps → tap “Download Offline Map.”
Then star your must-visits. Even if you lose data, your GPS still works.
Boom — built-in survival guide.

NOMAD OPPORTUNITIES:

📞 Great News: Most Businesses Are Bleeding (and Don’t Even Know It)

I called a business last week.
Got sent straight to voicemail.

“This mailbox is full.”
Click.

That was it.

No backup number.
No website chat.
No way to book.

Just… nothing.

And this wasn’t some back-alley side hustle.
This was a real medspa.
With a storefront. Employees. Overhead.
Probably wondering why sales are down.

After making a few hundred calls over the last few weeks,
I’ve seen this kind of thing everywhere.

❌ Disconnected lines
❌ Voicemails that hang up
❌ No after-hours support
❌ No backup when the line’s busy

It’s a miracle some of these places are still alive.

But then… a few others absolutely blew me away.

They had smart voice AI answering calls.
Routing messages.
Following up.
Even booking appointments.

No missed leads.
No “we’ll get back to you next Tuesday.”
Just seamless, human-sounding service that makes you think,
“These people have their act together.”

Over the years I’ve helped plenty of consulting clients set up systems like that.
Not complicated. Not expensive.
Just functional — and the difference? Immediate.

But here’s what’s wild:
Most owners have no idea these gaps even exist.
They’re buried in the day-to-day,
bleeding thousands a month in lost leads,
because their phone system or follow-up process is broken.

Customers are literally trying to give them money… and can’t.

I love the ones who get it.
Who want to fix things.
Who care about serving better.
Because those are the ones who win.

Especially now.

In this economy, “average” gets crushed.
The ones who thrive fix what everyone else ignores.

And honestly? That’s the opportunity for us too.

If you’re building a remote business, the bar’s never been lower.
All you need to do is see the problems, connect the dots, and know who can fix them.
You don’t have to do all the work.
You just have to be the one who brings order to chaos.

I learned this rehabbing properties years ago.
I did electrical, plumbing, roofing — not because I loved it,
but because I wanted to understand how things really worked.

So I couldn’t be ripped off.
And so I could make smarter calls than the “experts.”

Same principle here.

Get your hands dirty once.
Learn how systems work.
Then you can help any business — from anywhere — get unstuck.

So yeah… most businesses are bleeding.
But the ones who see it — and fix it — they’re the ones building something real.

So the question isn't WHETHER you can do this.

It's what you're gonna do with all that freedom once you figure it out.

So take a look around your own world. Whose business could you help fix today? One phone call—or one idea—could fund your next flight.

P.S. One client told me that fixing their phone system alone brought in $18K in bookings they would’ve missed.
Eighteen grand. From something nobody thinks about.
Makes you wonder what else is slipping through the cracks.

P.P.S. And my friend Jackie just tested our “Hug-Cloaked Offer” and pulled a 45% conversion rate.
Not a typo. Forty-five. Percent.

So if you’ve been saying, “I can’t do it…”
That’s 100% BS.
You can create the lifestyle you want.

You just have to start.

💌 And if you’re looking for a little light in the midst of it all —
The Daily Hug is here each morning to remind you you’re not alone.

Live free. Love proud. Leave no one behind.

The PrideNomad Team

Answer to Today’s Quiz

Amsterdam, Netherlands.

The International Homo/Lesbian Information Center and Archive (IHLIA), located in the Public Library of Amsterdam, contains one of the largest LGBTQ+ historical collections in the world. Before being fully institutionalized, much of the archive was kept underground — literally — in the crypt of a deconsecrated church. The collection includes letters from concentration camp survivors forced to wear pink triangles, as well as smuggled erotic zines, early HIV advocacy pamphlets, and organizational blueprints for 1970s gay communes. It’s one of queer history’s most sacred and under-visited places.

Places like this remind us why we do what we do. History. Community. Freedom. That's what this whole nomad thing is really about.
